Value out of the mundane

In discussing with a friend about the daily routine that we all live we were evaluating what breaks us out of the mundane. It's value. What adds value to our daily routine? Having the right perspective is key. We are ambassadors for Christ. Our life is to reflect God's love for His creation through us. If we are in a job we hate or love, we are to reflect God. Daniel was exulted to a high position, but he was in captivity. Moses spent most of his time with complaining people. Paul was in prison for most of his ministry. In each of their lives the goal wasn't to break out of the mundane, but to bring value out of or from the mundane or the miserable.
The daily goal is to reflect Christ in what we do. Anywhere from the surgeon operating to save a life, to the teacher in the classroom, or the custodian cleaning the toilets all can reflect Christ. It's not the job, it's who is doing the job. Even if we don't speak to anyone, our life, actions, attitude, etc. should reflect Christ.
So the mundane, the miserable, etc. can be overcome. God will use people in all and every circumstance if the people are willing to be used in every circumstance.
