Deuteronomy 10 (God wants all of my dedication)

Setting – Moses states how the 10 commandments were re-written on the two tablets and put into the ark. He also tells Israel again to fear the Lord, walk in His ways and to serve Him always.

Content – Moses spends another 40 days with God and gets a new set of tablets with the 10 commandments. This time they are put into the ark.
He also states that Israel is to fear God, walk in His ways and to serve God with all their heart and soul. Moses tells of God being the God of gods, Lord of lords. One who executes non-partial judgment for the orphan and widow. They are also to show love to the alien, because they were alien’s in Egypt.

Application – We are to dedicate our lives to God, not just our thoughts and intentions, but all of ourselves. Deut. 10:12-13 sums it up, "Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, (13) {and} to keep the LORD'S commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?"
God is my God (v. 12), “He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen.” He is Israel’s God and He is my God. I am to fear Him, walk in His ways and to serve Him with all of my heart and soul. God wants all of me and nothing less than that will do.
