Review
Joshua successfully leads Israel into the Promise Land displacing almost all of the inhabitants of the Promise Land. God provided victories for every battle except Ai because of Achan taking plunder. The territory is divided up by the twelve tribes and the Levites are given portions from some of the tribes to live since they don’t inherit land, and the cities of refuge are established.
Israel is given a new beginning and pledge to follow only God (Jos. 24:31), “Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua and all the days of the elders who survived Joshua, and had known all the deeds of the LORD which He had done for Israel.” Israel lives in peace.
